Iron Springs (also Ironsprings) is an unincorporated community in central Yavapai County, Arizona, United States, in the Prescott National Forest. It lies along Iron Springs Road northwest of the city of Prescott, the county seat of Yavapai County. Its elevation is 6,073 feet (1,851 m).

Iron Springs is the historical name of a natural spring in the Whetstone Mountains of southeastern Arizona. It is famous for being the site of a confrontation between Wyatt Earp and William "Curly Bill" Brocius on March 24, 1882, which resulted in Brocius' death.
From Iron Springs, Arizona to either coast there was indigenous culture. They were as varied as the landscapes they inhabited, from the dense forests of the northeast to the expansive prairies in the heartland, and the arid deserts of the southwest to the rugged coastlines of the northwest.

The first capital was established in 1864 at Prescott, in the northern Union-controlled area. The capital was moved to Tucson in 1868, and back to Prescott in 1877. The capital was finally moved to Phoenixon February 4, 1889.
The boundaries for the original territory, if they had kept their same size, would have made present-day Las Vegas part of Arizona. In 1867, though, Congress transferred the Arizona Territory's northwestern corner, specifically most of its land west of the Colorado River, to the state of Nevada.This reduced the territory to its current area.
