Chios ( / ˈkaɪ.ɒs, ˈkaɪ.oʊs, ˈkiː -/; Greek: Χίος, romanized : Chíos [ˈçi.os] ⓘ, traditionally known as Scio in English) is the fifth largest Greek island, situated in the northern Aegean Sea, and the tenth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea.
