Albury ( / ˈɔːlbəri /; Wiradjuri: Bungambrawatha) is a major regional city that is located in the Murray region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the twin city of Albury-Wodonga and is located on the Hume Highway and the northern side of the Murray River.
Albury Wodonga is a 5.5-hour drive southwest of Sydney and 3.5-hour northeast of Melbourne. You can also fly into the Albury Airport and hire a car to explore the region. Arriving by train at the grand Albury Railway Station is a wonderful experience – the trip from Sydney takes around 7.5 hours.
