  9. The Companies Act, 2013 passed by the Parliament has received the assent of the President of India on 29th August, 2013. This an Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to companies. The Companies Act, 2013 has been notified in the Official Gazette on 30th August, 2013 but the provisions of this Act shall come into force on such date(s) as the Central Government may notify in the Official Gazette.

  10. The Companies Act 2013 (No. 18 of 2013) is an Act of the Parliament of India which forms the primary source of Indian company law. It received presidential assent on 29 August 2013, and largely superseded the Companies Act 1956. The Act was brought into force in stages. Section 1 of this act came into force on 30 August 2013. 98 different sections came into force on 12 September 2013 with a few changes.
