Before you can board the Battle Bus on PC, you’ll need to download the Epic Games Launcher and Fortnite. If you haven’t already, install the Epic Games Launcher . Once you’ve installed the Launcher, follow these steps to download Fortnite and start playing.
Launch Epic Games Launcher. Click your profile icon in the upper right corner (will have the first letter of your user name). Click Settings. Click the arrow icon next to the game that will not launch (you may need to scroll down). Check the Additional Command Line box.
Once you've installed the launcher, follow these steps to install a game: Open the Epic Games Launcher. Go to your Library. Find the game you want to install and click it. Select the installation directory you wish to use, and then click Install. Once the download is complete, you can click the icon to launch the game.
The Epic Games Launcher is now using Epic Online Services natively to assist with updating, as well as keep cross-platform and social features up-to-date for integrated games. With this change, the Epic Games Launcher will need to install a local Epic Online Services component as a prerequisite.
