Jal Mahal (meaning "Water Palace") is a palace in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, India. The palace was originally constructed around 1699; the building and the lake around it were later renovated and enlarged in the early 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber .

Jal Mahal is a pink sandstone palace built by Maharaja Madho Singh I in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. It was originally a hunting lodge, but now it is a popular spot for sightseeing and photography.
The Jal Mahal, which means "Water Palace" in Hindi, is a stunning pink sandstone building that appears to float in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Especially at sunset, the whole place turns a magical pink thanks to the reflection on the water. Fun fact: even though it looks like a one-story palace, most of it is actually submerged underwater!
