Bajirao I (Visaji Bajirao Ballal; Marathi pronunciation: [bad͡ʒiɾaːʋ bəlːaːɭ]; 18 August 1700 – 28 April 1740) was the 7th and most powerful Peshwa of the Maratha Confederacy. He, after Shivaji , is considered to be the most charismatic and dynamic leader in Maratha history.
Baji Rao I (1700 - 1740) Baji Rao I, commonly known as Bajirao Ballal, was the seventh Peshwa of the Maratha Empire, born as Visaji on 18 August 1700 and died on 28 April 1740. During his twenty year reign as Peshwa, he conquered the Mughals and their vassal Nizam-ul-Mulk in wars such as the Battle of Delhi and the Battle of Bhopal.
