Kamini Roy (12 October 1864 – 27 September 1933) was a Bengali poet, social worker and feminist in British India. She was the first woman honours graduate in British India.
Her scholarship and thinking was ahead of its time and her legacy remains as India’s first woman to graduate with honours. She was a fierce feminist, poet, teacher, and advocate during a period when many women weren’t allowed to be educated.

Kamini Roy was born on October 12, 1864, in what is now the Jhalokati District of Bangladesh. She was a Bengali writer, as well as a pioneering suffrage activist, teacher, and social worker. Roy authored several works, including Malya O Nirmalya (1913) and Alo O Chhaya (1889).
