    Joan Howard Maurer (April 2, 1927-September 21, 2021) was the daughter of Moe Howard of the Three Stooges, thus also making her the niece of Shemp Howard and Curly Howard. She had written several books on the Three Stooges and appeared in a few films, including Pop Goes the Easel, alongside Larry Fine's daughter, Phyllis.

    She was married to cartoonist/director Norman Maurer until his death in 1986.
