Isabella Mary Abbott (December 23, 1890 – November 26, 1955) was a Canadian artist and the mother of actor Christopher Plummer. Life. Abbott was born in Quebec City, the daughter of Marianne J. (Campbell) and Arthur Edward Abbott, and the granddaughter of Prime Minister Sir John Abbott.
Isabella Mary Abbott was the granddaughter of Sir John Abbott, third Prime Minister of Canada (1891-92). She came from a cultured and wealthy Senneville (Quebec) family.

Abbott was born Isabella Kauakea Yau Yung Aiona in Hana, Maui, Territory of Hawaii, on June 20, 1919. Her Hawaiian name means "white rain of Hana" and she was known as "Izzy".
