Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is a 1997 action role-playing game developed and published by Konami for the PlayStation and Sega Saturn. It was directed and produced by Toru Hagihara, with Koji Igarashi acting as assistant director. It is a direct sequel to Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, taking place four years later.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night (or simply SOTN) is an arcade action-adventure RPG for the Play Station (PSX) gaming console released in 1897. The game lets you play as Alucard, the son of Dracula, who has recently awoken from a deep sleep after sensing his father's evil aura to his land. Help Alucard as he defeats his father's minions who hinder his way to get to his father. The game lets you equip a set of powerful magical weapons and armor to help him on his battles.

After Richter defeats Dracula he goes missing. Maria, who is a direct relative to Richter goes searching for him.
