Blackadder Goes Forth is the fourth series of the BBC sitcom Blackadder, written by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, which aired from 28 September to 2 November 1989 on BBC1.
A British sitcom set in World War I, starring Rowan Atkinson as Captain Edmund Blackadder, a cowardly and sarcastic officer who tries to escape the war. The series features a cast of memorable characters, such as his loyal servant Baldrick, his rival Darling, and the insane General Melchett.
