In Greek mythology, Medea ( / mɪˈdiːə /; Ancient Greek: Μήδεια, romanized : Mḗdeia; lit. 'planner, schemer') [1] is the daughter of King Aeëtes of Colchis. In the myth of Jason and the Argonauts, she aids Jason in his search for the Golden Fleece. She later marries him, but eventually kills his children and his other bride.
