Usermaatre Setepenre Meryamun Ramesses VII (also written Ramses and Rameses) was the sixth pharaoh of the 20th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. He reigned from about 1136 to 1129 BC and was the son of Ramesses VI. Other dates for his reign are 1138–1131 BC.

Ramesses VII was the sixth pharaoh of the 20th Dynasty of ancient Egypt, ruling from approximately 1136 to 1129 BCE. His reign is marked by further economic difficulties, administrative challenges, and limited monumental construction. Although relatively short, his rule provides insights into the continued decline of the New Kingdom.
Ramesses VII, historically the most important son of Ramesses VI - from the long line of seven supposed sons of Ramesses VI constitutes an inexplicable stumbling-block. One is, therefore, inclined to prefer Hypothesis A.
Tomb of Ramesses VII. The small Tomb of Ramesses VII (KV 1) is located in the Valley of the Kings, in the Western Bank of Luxor (ancient Thebes), a little way back from the road. A Greek inscription shows that this tomb was known and accessible during the Greek period.
Ramesses VII was the son of Pharaoh Ramesses VI and Queen Nubkhesbed. His siblings include; Amunherkhepeshef, Panebenkemit and Iset, the latter of whom was appoined to the priestly offices of God's Wife of Amun and Divine Adoratrice of Amun by her father. No consorts are known to Ramesses VII.
