Lieutenant Colonel Hilary Hook (26 September 1917 – 14 September 1990) was a soldier in armies of the British Empire in India and later in Africa. Hook was born on 26 September 1917, the son of Bryan and Dorothea Mary Hook, of Churt, Surrey, and baptized there into the Church of England on 16 December 1917. [1]

Lieutenant-Colonel Hilary Hook was a soldier in armies of the British Empire in India and later in Africa. Hook was born on 26 September 1917 and was educated at Canford School, Dorset, and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, after which he was commissioned into the Unattached List of the Indian Army on 27 January 1938.
