Maharajadhiraj Raj Rajeshwar Sawai Shri Sir Tukoji Rao II Holkar XI Bahadur GCSI CIE (3 May 1835 – 17 June 1886) was the Maharaja of Indore (Holkar State) and a member of the Maratha Holkar dynasty. His birth name was Shrimant Yukaji Jaswant Holkar.
Tukoji Rao Holkar (26 June 1723 – 15 August 1797), belonging to the Holkar clan of the Marathas was the feudatory of Indore (r. 1795–1797). Tukoji Holkar was the adopted son of Malhar Rao Holkar, he was the second son of Shrimant Tanuji Holkar, a nephew of Malhar Rao Holkar.
Tukojirao Holkar II (1835–1886) was installed on the throne on 27 June 1844. During the Indian Rebellion of 1857 , he was loyal to the British East India Company . In October 1872, he appointed T. Madhava Rao as the Diwan of Indore.
Nov 27, 2010 · Khanderao Holkar II (1799-1806), the son of Malharrao II, was proclaimed king by Yeshwantrao and the latter stood in as regent until Khanderao's death by cholera in 1806 (although British historians have claimed that he was poisoned by Yeshwantrao). Tukojirao Holkar reigned for only two years before dying in Pune.
