Miles Wedderburn Lampson, 1st Baron Killearn, GCMG, CB, MVO, PC (24 August 1880 – 18 September 1964) was a British diplomat.
Baron Killearn, of Killearn in the County of Stirling, [1] is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1943 for the diplomat Sir Miles Lampson. He was the second son of Norman Lampson, youngest son of Sir Curtis Lampson, 1st Baronet, of Rowfant (see below).
Miles Wedderburn Lampson was born in Killearn, Stirlingshire on 24 August 1880. He was the second of the four sons and the fourth of the six children of Norman George Lampson (1850–94) and his wife, Helen Agnes Blackburn (d. 1929).1 Lampson was at Eton from 1894 to 1898, and entered the Foreign Offi ce as a clerk in March 1903.
