Gary Mader is best known as the bassist in one of Sludge metal's most known bands, Eyehategod, since 2001. He also plays guitar for Hawg Jaw and is a founding member of Outlaw Order which consists mostly of fellow Eyehategod members with the exception of Jimmy Bower. All three bands are a part of the Sludge metal scene of New Orleans.
