Jackyl is an American rock band formed in 1991. [1] . Their sound has been described as hair metal and southern rock. [2] . Their self-titled debut album has sold more than a million copies in the United States with hit singles like "Down on Me" and "When Will It Rain".
The roots of NOVEIL were established in 2010 when singer and songwriter Jewel Stiff decided to start a band. She convinced her husband, Jimmy Stiff, the original lead guitarist for Jackyl and multi platinum recording artist, to put together a power trio to back her up.
