About Far East Movement. With their 2010 single “Like a G6,” hip-hop and EDM group Far East Movement (or FM) became the first Asian-American group to top the Billboard Hot 100. • High school friends Kev Nish, Prohgress, and J-Splif founded Far East Movement (originally Emcees Anonymous) in 2001.
The original members of Far East Movement, Kevin Nishimura (Kev Nish), James Roh (Prohgress), and Jae Choung (J-Splif), grew up in Koreatown, Los Angeles, California. They were close companions in high school and shared a passion for music together.
