Love and Rockets are an English rock band formed in 1985 by former Bauhaus members Daniel Ash (vocals, guitar and saxophone), David J (bass guitar and vocals) and Kevin Haskins (drums and synthesisers) after that group split in 1983.
Love and Rockets seems to be a ray of light for David J Haskins, the band’s bassist, songwriter and oft-vocalist. With his other band, Bauhaus —who, as we all know, wrote the seminal goth song, “Bela Lugosi’s Dead”—there is little radiance, all enveloped in the vast blackness of the night.

For about 43 years, Daniel Ash has played primarily with the same group of men — vocalist Peter Murphy, drummer Kevin Haskins and bassist David J — in the influential goth band Bauhaus. Ash also played in Tones on Tail with Haskins, and in Love and Rockets with David J. and Haskins.
