    Surprisingly not-bad, a serious-minded and ambitious cowboy movie, something quite rare for the period. It's drowning in Christian-coded social engineering and nakedly melodramatic sequences, but it's nice to see a movie with the gumption to stage a big exposition dump as a conversation between ventriloquist and dummy.
