Parama Veera Chakra is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language action film produced by C. Kalyan on Teja Cinema banner and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao as his 150th film. Starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Ameesha Patel, Neha Dhupia, Sheela Kaur and Jayasudha. The music is composed by Mani Sharma.
The Param Vir Chakra ( PVC) is India 's highest military decoration, awarded for displaying distinguished acts of valour during wartime. [5] [6] Param Vir Chakra translates as the "Supreme Wheel of Bravery", and the award is granted for "most conspicuous bravery in the presence of the enemy".

- The Param Vir Chakra is not just handed out on a silver platter. It’s such a rare honour, that only 21 people have ever been awarded one. Two-thirds of them posthumously.
- Twenty of these recipients are from the Army and one from the Air Force. The Param Vir Chakra has never been awarded to anyone from the Navy, although all branches of the military are eligible for one.
- The Param Vir Chakra carries a cash allowance for awardees - a paltry sum of Rs 10,000 per month.
- The Param Vir Chakra was designed by Swiss born Eva Yuonne Linda Maday-de-Maros whose mother was Hungarian and father, Russian. She married Vikram Khanolkar (later to be Major General) and changed her name to Savitri Bai Khanolankar when she moved to India.
