Sword of the Beast (獣の剣, Kedamono no ken, also called Samurai Gold Seekers [1]) is a 1965 jidaigeki film co-written and directed by Hideo Gosha. [2] Set in 1857 at the end of the Tokugawa Shogunate, the story follows a fugitive samurai who has killed a counselor in his clan and is on the run.
