कहानी. ये तारा सिंह ( सनी देओल) और सकीना ( अमीषा पटेल) की प्रेम कहानी है। फिल्म की कहानी भारत के विभाजन के दौरान हो रहे दंगा फ़साद से शुरू होती है। इसी के दौरान तारा और सकीना मिलते हैं। तारा उसे बचा कर अपने साथ ट्रक में ले जाते रहता है और इसी दौरान वो अपने पिछले समय को याद करते रहता है, जब उसकी मुलाक़ात कॉलेज में सकीना से हुई थी।.
