Forgotten Faces was a milestone in the career of producer David O. Selznick, who later called it his “first real production” after moving to Paramount. The film kicks off with a magnificently staged casino heist, introduced by a boldly stylized shot looking up through a roulette wheel ringed by the faces of gamblers.
Clive Brook stars as «Heliotrope» Harry, a gentleman thief tossed in jail for killing his wife’s lover. Before turning himself in, Harry leaves his baby girl on the doorstep of a rich, childless couple.

Overview. A petty thief (Clive Brook) just robs the very rich at speakeasies, and gets away with it because the rich don't want the bad publicity, finally is caught and sent to Sing Sing. After good behavior, he gets an emergency permission for a return home, so that he may save his daughter from the hands of her disreputable mother (Baclanova).
