Not to be confused with the (inferior) animated movie from 2021, this live-action adaptation of Jeff Kinney’s popular book series is a bucket of laughs (beware, some of them involve age-appropriate potty humor), featuring a plot about a tween boy’s obsessive desire to elevate his social standing by any means necessary, including changing the way he dresses and even dropping friends.
    • Carrie. Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie, William Katt. 113 votes. A chilling adaptation of Stephen King's horror novel, this classic film delves into the torment faced by an introverted high school girl with a fanatic religious mother and latent telekinetic powers.

    Based on the novel of the same name, A Walk to Rememberis a tear-jerker filled with love, loss, and hope.

    When I found out that the book Speak (one of my most reread books) was adapted into a movie, I was intrigued.

    While there is bullying in John Tucker Must Die, it still falls into the category of pure early 2000s gold.

    Even though A Girl Like Hercoming out in 2015, the elements of bullying are still very much prevalent today.

    If you’re looking for a movie that can be incredibly uncomfortable to watch at times, try the movie Thirteen.

    Filled with nostalgia and mystery, Now and Thenis one of my go-to comfort movies whenever I’m having a hard time.

    One of my favorite Disney movies, Tarzanis about standing out, learning to fit in, and falling in love.

    The dad in Yours, Mine & Oursis definitely a hardass, and it can be hard to watch. Still, there is a touch of lightheartedness that comes with the rest of the film.

    Bullying, trauma, andabuse are never easy to witness. But when you’ve experienced this pain throughout childhood, watching movies with this subject matter can be cathartic.

    • Bowling for Columbine. Love it or hate it, Michael Moore really blazed a trail when it came to the genre of movies uncovering bullying. As a journalist, he was the first to take a look at the infamous Columbine school shooting, the motives behind it, and what would drive teenagers to kill.
    • Mean Girls. Though it was made back in 2004, "Mean Girls" remains one of the most heavily quoted films of its time. It’s a classic story: new girl in school meets the mean girl clique, girl changes to become one of them, and girl realizes she's turned into a bully.
    • A Girl Like Her. Did you ever have a person in your school (or office) that tormented you, but you could never quite prove that they were hurting you?

    • Tall Girl (2019) Nzingha Stewart’s ‘Tall Girl‘ is a teen romantic comedy film written by Sam Wolfson. The movie follows Jodi, a teenager who has struggled at school and in other social settings in general because of her 6-foot-1-inch height.
    • Girl’s Revenge (2020) Written by Blanche Chiang, ‘Girl’s Revenge’ is a drama film that features talented actors like Yi-Ruei Chen, Teng-Hung Hsia, Chu-Ping Liu, Moon Lee, and Edison Song.
