Faithful Friends Animal Society was born out of a moral imperative to expose the mass killing of cats and dogs entering Delaware’s publicly funded shelters. For two decades, our advocacy has vastly improved outcomes for shelter animals, saving thousands of easily adoptable, trainable, and treatable pets from certain death.
We provide a directory of shelters that provide assistance to the homeless. We do not directly provide aid ourselves, but provide local resources for you to find. Most major U.S. cities including Wilmington, Delaware, offer some type of shelter for persons in need.
Foster a Shelter Pet. When you open your home to foster a shelter pet, you offer a safe, loving place away from the shelter while that pet awaits an adopter. Faithful Friends provides medical care and, if needed, pet food while the animal lives with you.
