The film had its world premiere in the Directors' Fortnight section parallel to the 1996 Cannes Film Festival. The film was shot in chronological order.
May 16, 1997 · Igor, a 15-year-old apprentice mechanic, helps his father, Roger, exploit undocumented immigrants in Belgium. When one of them dies, Igor makes a promise to the man's wife and questions his father's morality.
