Her mother is essentially mute. Forty years before, an extreme left-wing activist killed her father, a near-twenty-year old vice-brigadier, during a political rally.
Maria lives near the sea, in the district of Naples. She has a precarious job and no love. One day she finds out that the man who killed her father 40 years before has served his time and lives in Milan. “Finally, I know who I have to hate”, she thinks.
