As far as Italian – or in this case Italian-American – sword & sandal productions go, there are far worse examples than Hannibal.To be sure, by today’s standards this film is absolutely awful, but I always appreciate how these films, despite their low budgets, still manage to make them feel somewhat ‘epic’ through the use of practical effects.
