He portrays William Pitt, who became Prime Minister to King George III at the tender age of just 24, and who had to deal with the fallout from the French Revolution, the Napoleonic Wars and the mysterious illness that afflicted his King.
Pitt's doctor warns him that he will die if he resumes the stress of leadership, but Pitt becomes prime minister again. Pitt enjoins Nelson to battle Napoleon's Navy, and in 1805, at the cost of his own life, Nelson is victorious at the sea battle of Trafalgar.
