White Pants Willie is a 1927 American comedy film directed by Charles Hines and written by Howard J. Green. It is based on the 1924 novel White Pants Willie by Elmer Davis.
Even though he works in a garage and is bullied by his boss, Mock Epply, Willie Bascom sports a pair of fashionable white trousers that get him into considerable difficulty. Willie meets Helen Charters, daughter of an automobile manufacturer, when they stop on their way to a summer resort.
The irrepressible Johnny Hines stars as "White Pants" Willie Bascom, an enterprising garage mechanic and erstwhile inventor. Delivering a repaired auto to the home of millionaire Philip Charters (Henry Barrows), Willie falls in love with Charters' lovely daughter Helen (Leila Hyams).

Charters takes an interest in a magnetic bumper device invented by Willie, who gets an opportunity to deliver a fancy car to the resort, dressed in his white pants and with Wong (George Kuwa), a Chinese laundryman, pretending to be his chauffeur.
