Meirinkan (明倫館) was a han school located in the Chōshū Domain of Japan. The school was one of the three major educational institutions in Japan, along with the Kōdōkan in Mito Domain and Shizutani School in Okayama Domain .

The main gate of Meirinkan, the Tanabe Domain's school, is located to the south of Meirin Elementary School, the first elementary school in Maizuru City, and when you compare it with the Tanabe Castle Gate (see attached photo), you can get a glimpse of the domain school era.
