The Film and Television Institute of India is designed for a new generation of storytellers: visual and performing artists who share a passion for motion pictures and want to learn by making their own projects in a hands-on, intensive program. FTII students are not lost in large classes.
The main building was officially inaugurated on November 8,1912 by the Viceroy, Lord Hardinge and the old campus was given up. For the, next 28 years the College was open exclusively to the sons of the Chiefs of Central India.
