Franklin Knight Lane (July 15, 1864 – May 18, 1921) was an American progressive politician from California. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as United States Secretary of the Interior from 1913 to 1920.

Franklin K. Lane High School (FKLHS) was a public high school in New York City, New York, United States. It began as a combined junior-senior high school in 1923 and moved into its current building in 1937.
Lane remained in that post from 1913 until 1920, advocating for the democratic, antimonopolistic, and efficient development of natural resources. His most striking accomplishment was the creation of the National Park Service in 1916.
