A. Jagannathan (26 November 1935 – 7 October 2012) was an Indian film director who worked in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi film industries and he was introduced by R.M. Veerappan in his Sathya Movies banner for Manipayal.

A. Jagannathan is a south Indian film director, who has made a few Bollywood movies too. In south Indian cinema, he directed Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language films. He worked in film industry as an assistant director for long 15 years since late 1950s, and marked his directorial debut with Tamil film Manipayal in 1973.
A. Jagannathan is known for Moondru Mugham (1982), Thanga Magan (1983) and Kaadhal Parisu (1987).
