Formed in 1957, MYDIN is a largest halal home-grown company with solid reputation in national retail industry. Our founder, the late Tuan Mydin Mohamed holds strong to principles of halal and integrity, the values remain as key drivers in the business till present.
MYDIN was founded in August 1957 by the late Tuan Mydin Mohamed in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. The first shop was a small wooden shop in Jalan Tok Hakim, Kota Bharu, selling toys and general goods.
Nov 19, 2022 · Earlier this year, the hypermarket chain launched its 67th and largest store in Kelantan, the state where it all began. Through the new outlet, the brand provided about 1,000 jobs as well as business opportunities for local communities. Mydin today became one of the biggest and most beloved retail brands in Malaysia.
