  3. The Return of Tarzan picks up where Tarzan of the Apes left off; as the adventure begins, we find Tarzan returning to Paris and planning his next expedition. As I was reading The Return of Tarzan , several things occurred to me: Burroughs cannot write dialog, he uses far too many coincidences to move the plot forward &, most importantly, Burroughs writes action scenes far better than most writers.
