Frank Richard George Lampard (born 20 September 1948) is an English former professional footballer who played as a left-back. He played most of his career for West Ham United, had a brief spell with Southend United, and was capped twice for the England national team.
A box-to-box midfielder, Lampard began his career in 1995 at West Ham United, the club where his father, Frank Lampard Sr., also played. He is best known for his time at London rivals Chelsea, for whom he signed in 2001 for £11 million.
