Vernon Leonard Davis (born January 31, 1984) is an American former football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Maryland Terrapins, earning first-team All-American honors in 2005. Davis was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the sixth overall pick of the 2006 NFL draft.
