He Yi-hang (Chinese: 賀一航; pinyin: Hè Yīháng; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Hō It-hông; 31 July 1954 – 3 June 2019) was a Taiwanese television host and actor. He won two Golden Bell Awards, in 2006 and 2016. In 2004, a group of people attacked He with baseball bats, causing severe injuries to his leg, arm and face.
Jun 5, 2019 · Veteran Taiwanese host He Yi-hang has passed away from colorectal cancer on Monday (June 3). He was 64. Yi-hang found out he had stage 3 colorectal cancer in 2011, but after undergoing an operation to remove the tumour, Yi-hang decided to stop chemotherapy treatments and did not visit the hospital again, even for his yearly check-ups.

He was diagnosed with third stage colorectal cancer back in 2011 but refused chemotherapy after surgery. He even decided to forgo regular medical checkups. However, his passing comes as a shock to the Taiwan entertainment circle because he once reported good news of his recovery.
According to Yu’s wife Li Ya Ping, He’s cancer had spread to his liver and lungs, and that he was afraid of the pain. She shared, Li added that she used to communicate with He every morning, but stopped doing so 10 days prior to his death. Apparently, he had stopped reading her messages. She didn’t think much about it as she thought he was busy.
