Todd Sherry was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on September 4, 1961. He is the youngest of three boys. His paternal great-grandparents immigrated to the United States from County Cork, Ireland while his maternal side of the family arrived in 1629, having abandoned the Viking life in Normandy around 1500. Sherry graduated magna cum laude from Clarion University of Pennsylvania where he won the Daniel Preuss Award for excellence in musical theatre for his performance as T.R. in Tintypes.
After many years performing in professional theatre productions across the United States, Canada, and around the world, Sherry began pursuing TV and film acting in the early 2000s. Episodic television credits include: Charmed (2003), North Shore (2004), Will & Grace (2005), 'Til Dead (2006), Desperate Housewives (2007), How I Met Your Mother (2008), and True Jackson, VP (2009). He portrayed the role of George in four episodes of Half & Half (2003-2006), multiple roles across four episodes of The O.C. (2003-2007), portrayed a Dolly Parton impersonator in the 2005 film Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, Vincent in the 2006 film Hiding Victoria, Phil in three episodes of The Nine (2006-2007), Kevin in six episodes of Rita Rocks (2009), and Everett in two episodes of Eastwick (2009).
Throughout the 2010s, Sherry continued to appear in smaller roles across film and television, episodic credits including: Chuck (2010), Raising Hope (2010), The Suite Life on Deck (2010), Castle (2011), Jane by Design (2012), Sam & Cat (2014), The Millers (2014), The Mindy Project (2015), Supergirl (2016), Dynasty (2018), iZombie (2019), and AJ and the Queen (2020). In addition, he appeared in the films Life of Lemon (2011), Going Down in LA-LA Land (2011), How Sweet It Is (2013), and Road Hard (2015).
