Karen Morley (1909-2003) was a Hollywood star in the 1930s, appearing in Scarface, Mata Hari, Arsène Lupin and more. She left MGM in 1934 and became a left-wing activist, testifying before the House Committee on Un-American Activities in 1947 and losing her career.
