Villupuram Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy, better known by his stage name Sivaji Ganesan, (1 October 1928 – 21 July 2001) was an Indian actor and film producer. He was active in Tamil cinema during the latter half of the 20th century.
Actor: Thevar Magan. Tamil superstar from a poor family in Tamil Nadu, India. His father worked on the railways. On the day of his birth his father, Chiniah Pillai, follower of Mahatma Gandhi, was jailed for participating in the Independence movement in Nellikuppam (Tamil Nadu, India).
