Yūrei Yanagi (柳 憂怜 or 柳ユーレイ, Yanagi Yūrei, born 8 April 1963) is a Japanese actor and tarento. He was born in Fuchū, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. Yanagi was originally a member of Takeshi Kitano's gundan. In 1990 he continued to work with Takeshi for the film Boiling Point.
The film was written and directed by Takashi Shimizu and is divided into six parts, chronicling the experiences of tenants of a cursed house where a man, Takeo Saeki ( Takashi Matsuyama) killed his wife, Kayako ( Takako Fuji ), in a jealous rage. It was followed by Ju-on: The Curse 2 in the same year.
