Chitragupt Shrivastava (16 November 1917 – 14 January 1991), better known as Chitragupt, was an Indian film music director in Hindi cinema and Bhojpuri cinema.
Anand and Milind Srivastava are a duo of Indian film music composers. Born to composer Chitragupt, they have composed music for over 200 Bollywood films. [1] The brothers debuted in 1984 with Ab Ayega Mazaa and had their major breakthrough with Qayamat se Qayamat Tak in 1988. [2]
When it came to Bhojpuri films, Chitragupt was the ruling king, He composed music for some very memorable Bhojpuri films like, 'Ganga Maiya Tohe Piyari Chadhaube', 'Laagi Naahi Chhute Rama' and 'Gangaa'.
In 1997, he was a music composer for the films Sher-E-Hindustan, Lahoo Ke Do Rang, Udaan, Insaaf: The Final Justice, and Zameer: The Awakening of a Soul. He composed music for the films Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate, Pardesi Babu, Sar Utha Ke Jiyo, Yamraaj, and Barood in 1998.
