Karimanal Venkatesan Anand (30 October 1966 – 30 April 2021) was an Indian cinematographer, film director and photojournalist, worked mainly in the Tamil film industry. After a short period as a journalist, he became a cinematographer in the early 1990s, working on about fifteen films in the Southern and Hindi cinema industries.
K.V. Anand was born on 30 October 1966 in Madras, India. He was a cinematographer and writer, known for Ayan (2009), Maattrraan (2012) and Ko (2011). He died on 30 April 2021 in Chennai, India.

"He passed away in a hospital at 3 AM due to a cardiac arrest, he was 54 years old," Riaz K Ahmed, a film industry publicist and movie buff said.
