Edward James Solomon (born September 15, 1960) is an American filmmaker. He is best known for writing the screenplays to Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989), Men in Black (1997), and Now You See Me (2013).
Ed Solomon is a screenwriter and producer who created Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Men in Black. He also worked on X-Men, Charlie's Angels and Now You See Me 2.

Ed Solomon became a professional writer at age 19 when he sold some jokes in the back room of The Comedy Store to comedian Jimmie Walker. He did it to impress a girl. By the time he was 21, while he was still a student at UCLA, he was a staff writer on the ABC sitcom Laverne and Shirley — the youngest person at the time in the WGA.
