    Joseph P. Genier is an executive producer of MTV's Teen Wolf. Genier, along with Jeff Davis, Russell Mulcahy and René Echevarria, developed the show from Season 1.

    Genier graduated from Cornell University in 1992 and began producing films and television shows shortly thereafter.

    He first found work as a production assistant before becoming a Unit Production Manager in films like Casper: A Spirited Beginning, Richie Rich's Christmas Wish, Emmanuelle: First Contact, and Akeelah and the Bee.

    He is co-founder of Capital Arts Entertainment which produces direct-to-video movies and is known for producing Tyler Perry's screenplays includes the Madea films. In 2005, Genier founded and currently owns Push Worldwide, the distribution arm for Capital Arts.

    Genier has been a producer on shows like Bigger, The Quad, Hit the Floor, First Wives Club, and Wolf Pack.

    With Capital Arts providing production services on Teen Wolf, Genier had become a producer among many other tasks. He started his hands-on approach with his unit production skills in the pilot episode Wolf Moon.

    After Season 2, the production moved to Los Angeles and Genier was promoted to executive producer. Eventually, he began to expand more of his role by directing Maid of Gevaudan, Blitzkrieg, and Genotype which he also wrote.

    He co-wrote the Season 6 mid-season finale Riders on the Storm along with Lindsay Jewett Sturman.

    Genier returned to the franchise as executive producer as well as story contributor along with Davis, Mulcahy and Will Wallace for the 2022 movie.
